What we collect when you use Automate Naija, why we collect it, and how to get it removed.
This policy covers automatenaija.com, the Automate Naija app and the communities we run. It is written to be readable rather than exhaustive; if something here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
We use third-party services to run the platform: hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics, community messaging and the automation tools the product is built on. They only receive what they need to do their part, and they are bound by their own terms.
The site stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser so it survives a page reload. Analytics may set additional cookies. Clearing your browser storage removes all of it.
Account and payment records are kept for as long as you have an account, plus whatever period the law requires afterwards. Newsletter data is deleted when you unsubscribe. Public work you posted stays visible until you ask us to remove it.
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Write to us from the address on your account and we will act on it. The Nigeria Data Protection Act gives you these rights; we would honour them regardless.
Automate Naija is not intended for anyone under 16. If a younger person has signed up, contact us and we will remove the account.
If we change it materially, we will say so on this page and in the community before it takes effect.
Questions about privacy, or a deletion request: email us, or use the contact page.
